I am an experienced and proven career sport coach / educator with excellent people skills. I have a BPE in Physical Education and the highest level of certification as a gymnastics coach in Canada. 2003-4 Assistant Head Coach, Altadore Gymnastics, Calgary

 

For the 2003-4 season I returned to my home club to assist the Head Coach Kelly Manjak in the run-up to the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Manjak is coach of Kyle Shewfelt, one of CanadaÕs best medal prospects for the Olympics. I coach menÕs gymnastics from Level 1 beginners to international and assist with club administration.

2002 Head Coach, Christchurch School of Gymnastics, New Zealand

 

For the 2002 season I was responsible for the coaching of 800 gymnasts including 130+ competitive WAG, MAG and Trampoline athletes. 1990-2001 Coach / General Manager, Taiso Gymnastics Club

 

I was a senior coach with Taiso, a menÕs competitive club, from 1990 - 2001. For the 2000-2001 season I was also General Manager responsible for a budget of $200,000 and a staff of 20 full and part-time coaches and employees.

 

1997 Sessional Lecturer University of Saskatchewan, College of Kinesiology

 

I taught the gymnastics course at University of Saskatchewan for one year and was frequently brought in as a guest lecturer.

 

1997-1998 Head Coach of Can-Am Gym Club, Saskatoon

 

For one season I ran the competitive girls club Can-Am with over 400 girls at every level.

 

1991-1993 SaskFirst MenÕs Coach, Gymnastics Saskatchewan

 

Coaching, budget and administrative responsibility for SaskatchewanÕs Provincial Team.

 

1980-1990 MenÕs Head Coach, Altadore Gymnastics Club (Calgary)

 

Responsible for one of Canada's largest men's programs with over 400 recreational gymnasts and over 60 competitive boys.

I helped organize CanadaÕs gymnastics coach education at the highest level.

 

Master Course Conductor for Gymnastics Canada NCCP 1-3

 

I teach about 6 NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) courses or more each year. Students are adults, training to be gymnastics coaches.
